ASTM F1537 is the globally recognized standard for wrought Co-28Cr-6Mo (CoCrMo) surgical implant alloy, mostly supplied as round bar stock for medical machining and secondary forging. Different from cast CoCrMo (ASTM F75), ASTM F1537 goes through thermomechanical forging processing, which forms a finer grain structure, delivers better fatigue resistance and consistent mechanical properties for long-term load-bearing implant applications.
