I. Technical Background and Industry Positioning

FeNi50 (Iron-Nickel 50 Alloys) is a special metal material with high stability and low thermal expansion coefficient, widely used in precision instruments, aerospace, and electronic packaging fields. Its core advantage lies in its strong dimensional stability under temperature changes, effectively reducing the impact of thermal stress on device performance. As a leading enterprise in the research and manufacturing of special alloys in China, Qichuan New Materials (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. leverages the industrial cluster advantages of the Zhengzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone to establish a full industrial chain technological system from high-purity metal purification to alloy precision processing.

II. Technical Strength Analysis: Precise Control from Raw Materials to Finished Products

1. High-purity metal purification technologyThe company combines vacuum induction melting (VIM) and electron beam melting (EBM) processes to control metal impurity content to the ppm level. For example, the purity of nickel in FeNi50 alloy can reach 99.99%, and the purity of iron reaches 99.95%, laying a foundation for the stability of the alloy's performance.

2. Precise alloy composition ratioReal-time monitoring of the melting process through ICP-OES (Inductively Coupled Plasma Optical Emission Spectrometer) ensures that the nickel content is strictly controlled within the range of 49.5%-50.5%, avoiding fluctuations in the coefficient of thermal expansion due to compositional deviations. In actual production, the compositional differences between batches are controlled within ±0.1%.

3. Heat Treatment Process OptimizationThe alloy is treated using a graded annealing process, maintaining at 1050℃ for 4 hours and then slowly cooled to 600℃ to eliminate processing stress and refine grain structure. Test results show that the tensile strength of the treated alloy is increased to 520MPa, with a elongation rate of up to 35%, meeting the requirements for precision stamping.

III. Core Equipment and Inspection Capabilities

The company is equipped with a 200kg vacuum induction melting furnace imported from Germany, a cold rolling mill from Mitsubishi of Japan, and a Swiss ARAMIS 3D strain measurement system, achieving full digital control from melting to shaping. The inspection process covers metallographic analysis, hardness testing, and thermal expansion coefficient measurement, with the thermal expansion coefficient detection accuracy reaching 0.1×10⁻⁶/°C, far exceeding industry standards.

Chapter 4: Industry Application Case: Breakthroughs in the Field of Electronic Packaging

In a project of a 5G communication equipment manufacturer, Qinchuan New Materials' FeNi50 alloy substrate successfully resolves the mismatch issue of thermal expansion coefficient of traditional aluminum substrate. Measured results show that under the temperature cycle from -40℃ to 125℃, the crack rate of the device encapsulation layer is reduced from 12% to 0.3%, significantly improving product reliability. Currently, this material has passed the AEC-Q200 automotive-grade certification and the annual supply volume exceeds 50 tons.

5. Technical Layout and Future Direction

The company continues to invest in the surface treatment technology of FeNi50 alloy, forming a 0.5μm uniform coating on the alloy surface through electroless nickel plating, enhancing its corrosion resistance to the NSS 1000h rust-free level in ISO 9227 standard. At the same time, a gradient composite material of FeNi50 and ceramics is being developed to further expand its application boundaries in the high-temperature packaging field.
