Product Overview
CoCrMo alloy is a high-end medical/industrial cobalt-based alloy developed and produced by Qinchuan New Materials (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. The alloy is based on cobalt, incorporating high chromium and molybdenum elements, and utilizes a low nickel controllable formula to ensure the product has no sensitization risk. The CoCrMo alloy boasts ultra-high mechanical strength, extreme wear resistance and fatigue resistance, medical-grade biocompatibility, and broad-spectrum corrosion resistance, suitable for wear-resistant and corrosive conditions at normal and medium-temperature levels. The long-term stable service temperature can reach up to 500°C, while the short-term ultimate tolerance temperature can reach 600°C, and it also features complete non-magnetic properties throughout.
Main Product Features
- High strength, fatigue resistance, wear resistance:The cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy, with its cobalt-based matrix and the composite reinforcement mechanism of chromium molybdenum carbides, exhibits far superior tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness compared to stainless steel, titanium alloys, and conventional nickel-based alloys, with extremely low notch sensitivity and top-notch resistance to cyclic fatigue.
- Top medical biocompatibility, non-sensitizing and non-rejecting:Low nickel/nickel-free high purity ratio, material is non-toxic and harmless, with extremely inert tissue, no human allergenicity, no rejection reaction, and resistance to corrosion by human body fluids.
- Broad-spectrum corrosion resistance and excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance:High chromium content can generate a dense and stable self-healing oxidation protective film, which boasts excellent resistance to acidic and alkaline corrosion, salt mist, body fluid corrosion, high-temperature oxidation resistance, and thermal corrosion resistance.
- Non-magnetic property, strong process adaptability:Alloys remain fully non-magnetic across the entire temperature range from room temperature to high temperature, capable of avoiding electromagnetic interference, suitable for nuclear magnetic, precise medical, and high-frequency precision equipment scenarios. Meanwhile, they exhibit excellent casting, forging, machining, and polishing properties, achieving mirror-like polishing effects.
