CoCrMo alloy is a high-end medical/industrial cobalt-based alloy produced by Qinchuan New Materials (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd. The alloy adheres to ASTM F75 (Cast) and ASTM F1537 (Forged) standards and has a complete standard grade with UNS R30075 and ISO 5832-4. As an independent system medical-grade cobalt-based alloy, the CoCrMo alloy is based on cobalt, integrating precise proportions of high-chromium and molybdenum elements, and using a low-nickel controllable formula (nickel content ≤1.0%) to ensure no sensitization risk. It boasts four core advantages: ultra-high mechanical strength, extreme wear resistance and fatigue resistance, medical-grade biocompatibility, and broad-spectrum corrosion resistance.
Ultra-high strength, fatigue-resistant, wear-resistant: Relying on the cobalt-based matrix and composite strengthening mechanism of chromium molybdenum carbide, the alloy exhibits tensile strength, yield strength, and hardness far exceeding that of stainless steel, titanium alloys, and conventional nickel-based alloys, with extremely low notch sensitivity and top-level resistance to cyclic fatigue.
Top medical biocompatibility, non-sensitizing and non-rejecting: low nickel/free nickel high purity ratio, material is non-toxic and harmless, tissue inertness is extremely strong, free from human sensitization, no rejection reactions, resistant to human body fluid corrosion.
Broad-spectrum corrosion resistance and excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance: High chromium content can form a dense and stable self-repairing oxidation protective film, with strong resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, salt mist, body fluid corrosion, high-temperature oxidation, and thermal corrosion.
Non-magnetic property, strong process adaptability: The alloy remains completely non-magnetic throughout the temperature range from room temperature to high temperature, allowing for avoidance of electromagnetic interference and compatibility with nuclear magnetic, precision medical, and high-frequency precision equipment applications. Additionally, it exhibits excellent casting, forging, machining, and polishing properties, enabling mirror-like polishing effects.
