Hastelloy X is a high-chromium, high-molybdenum solid solution strengthened nickel-based deformed superalloy with high iron content. Relying on the composite solid solution strengthening mechanism of chromium and molybdenum elements, without precipitation strengthening phases, it achieves a balanced match of high-temperature strength, oxidation resistance, and process properties by stabilizing the single-phase austenite matrix. It is a general-purpose high-temperature heat-resistant material for the aviation, energy, and chemical industries.
This alloy is suitable for service conditions in a wide temperature range at medium to high temperatures, featuring excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, heat corrosion resistance, and creep resistance. It can safely operate continuously at temperatures up to ≤900°C, with a short-term maximum tolerance temperature of up to 1080°C. Compared to traditional high-temperature alloys, Hastelloy X's greatest advantage lies in its extremely strong process adaptability, excellent cold and hot working, stamping forming, and welding properties. No heat treatment is required before or after welding, which can significantly reduce the production and installation costs of high-end high-temperature components.
Relying on the chromium-molybdenum composite solid solution strengthening system, Hastelloy X maintains stable tensile strength, yield strength, and creep resistance within the core high-temperature range of 600℃ to 900℃, and possesses excellent high-temperature endurance load-bearing capability.
The alloy surface can form a dense and stable chromium oxide protective layer, which is resistant to peeling, flaking, and powdering at high temperatures, and possesses excellent high-temperature anti-oxidation, anti-flue gas sulfidation, and anti-heat gas erosion properties.
The Hastelloy X cold and hot processing technology is mature and stable, with excellent forging, rolling, bending, stamping, and deep processing properties. The work hardening is controllable, and the yield of finished products is high.
After solution heat treatment, it presents a uniform and stable single-phase austenitic structure, containing only a small amount of TiN and M6C type carbides, with no harmful precipitated phases.
